The NBA was formed in 1989 by 16 men and women who loved to dance and meet new friends. Since inception 196 people have met, danced, dated and married in the club. Over 1,200 dancers have been members and have enjoyed the NBA over the past 20 years. Average age is "50 to 70" years.
The club moved from the middle Nashville area in 2007 to the VFW in Hendersonville, 73 New Shackle Island Rd on one Friday each month with a new set of dance lessons. Basic steps of all the touch dance styles, 7:30 - 8:00pm with open dancing till 10:30-11:00 pm. Throughout the year the NBA holds theme parties. Meeting new people is stressed every time we meet.
Beginner East Coast / Bop& Other Style LESSONS: Main objective is to introduce attendees to new people, socialize and learn to dance.
Next 3 months schedule: Fri, July 10, Aug 14 & Sept 11. Door charge $5 with free soft beverages in smoke free area.

The Nashville BeBop Association dances one Friday night a month. $5 Door Fee supports the NBA and the VFW and our TROOPS. All attendees contribute to the music fund tip jar.
